Professional Services

The professional services vertical includes accountants, lawyers, consulting firms, HR and IT outsourcers, and any other provider of similar services to organizations or individuals. These providers offer business-related services, usually of an advisory or "strategic" nature, and generally require highly specialized undergraduate or graduate education.

Professional services organizations have training needs that may blend "standard" components (e.g., desktop applications training, accounting methods, or state compliance rules) with "proprietary" components (e.g., consulting methodology or internal billing systems). There is also a need to keep personnel "accredited" through professional continuing education, and up-to-date on current industry information.

Training requirements for professional services include:

  • Library of core business and computer applications courses with the flexibility to customize.
  • Custom content development capabilities to train on processes, internal systems, methodologies, and corporate brand.
  • Applicable compliance training (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley, Gramm-Leach-Bliley, or the Fair Credit Reporting Act).
  • Applicable advanced skills training (e.g., Finance and Accounting, Law, or Information Technology).
  • Continuing education and accreditation, including tracking and reporting (e.g., CPE, CEU, PDU, HRCI).

Cognitive Arts serves professional services organizations representing most business professions across a significant number of states.
