Dr. Gregg Collins, Ph.D.
Vice President, Instructional Design

Gregg Collins is the head of instructional design for NIIT worldwide. He received his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from Yale University in 1986, specializing in theories of human learning. Dr. Collins was an assistant professor of computer science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 1986-1989, and at Northwestern University from 1989-1996. He was a member of the core faculty of the Institute for the Learning Sciences (ILS) at Northwestern, which was founded in 1989 through a $30 million grant from Accenture to study the use of new technologies to improve pedagogical effectiveness.

Dr. Collins was one of the authors of Northwestern's graduate program in instructional design, and played a key role in the seminal research carried out at ILS. He was a co-founder of Cognitive Arts Corporation, which was incorporated in 1995 to commercialize ILS. Dr. Collins became head of instructional design for Cognitive Arts in 1996, and subsequently for NIIT Limited when it acquired Cognitive Arts in 2002.

During this time, instructional designs created under Dr. Collins's leadership have won numerous international awards, and Cognitive Arts has consistently been recognized as a pioneer and leader in the effective use of technology to support pedagogy. Dr. Collins has published numerous articles in international journals and industry publications, and has spoken at a variety of conferences and seminars on education.

 

Dr. Chip Cleary, Ph.D.
Vice President, Advisory Services

Dr. Chip Cleary leads the Advisory Services practice for NIIT worldwide, including CognitiveArts and NIIT. He works with clients to help them define and implement learning strategies that maximize the impact of their investments in learning. He has worked with clients across a broad range of industries, including financial services, technology original equipment manufacturers, professional services firms, retailers, manufacturing organizations, and trade associations. Cleary speaks regularly at industry events and holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern University's Institute for the Learning Sciences, an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, and a B.S.E.E. from Yale University.

 

Ganesh Krishnamurthy
Vice President, Learning Content

Ganesh Krishnamurthy has over two decades of experience in the IT industry with a large majority of that in core education and training areas. He is currently employed with NIIT Limited where he is the Vice President for NIIT's Learning Content business. He manages a team of over 300 instructional and visual designers, project managers and learning consultants, who produce over a thousand hours of learning content annually, to global customers across multiple domains. In his past roles he has led a team of education technology professionals with specialization in learning management & content management applications. He has also managed a large channel of education partners, focusing on both their business and technical growth.
